Through Her Window

Through Her Window is an ongoing commissioning and performing project which works to undo the historic silencing of women by raising women’s voices through music. Inspired by the well known quote attributed to Claudia Alta Johnson, “Art is a window to the soul,” Through Her Window brings together some of the most eloquent female-identifying musical voices of history and our own time to expand the canon, share stories, reflect on our shared humanity, and give the world a peek into the windows of their hearts and minds.
